SCOTTISH VELVET BREASTPLATE WITH PINS, AWARDS, MEDALS
This is a beautiful velvet breastplate to wear wth a Scottish kilt.
It is filled with pins, tartan ribbon pins, awards and medals.
Some of them have the name of the apparent owner as the same name is on several of the pins.
Most of the pins are engraved with the name of the event and the Society which sponsored the event and also what the award is for.
Some are for several different age levels of bagpiping, some for dancing, some for field events.
Some are dated from the late teens to the mid 1920's.
The participation of the individual would have been middle school and high school according to some of the ages indicated for the events
A really unique collection to add to your own collection of Scottish history and a terrific conversation piece.
